Clinic Settings
The Clinic area is the control center for how Turno behaves in daily operations. It contains six tabs, each managing a different aspect of your clinic's setup. Changes made here directly affect booking eligibility, calendar behavior, available capacity, and patient-facing communication.
The six configuration tabs
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Configuration | Clinic identity, operating hours, booking rules, and copago messaging |
| Providers | Provider profiles, schedules, breaks, and rescheduling rules |
| Services | Service catalog, durations, private services, team assignments, and deferred start |
| Staff | User accounts, role assignments (Admin/Staff/Provider), and access management |
| Teams | Provider groupings for multi-provider services and coordinated care |
| Insurance | Insurance providers, plans, acceptance status, and Copago Plus configuration |
Recommended setup order
When configuring a new clinic or making major changes, follow this sequence:
- Configuration first: Set your clinic hours, booking intervals, and global rules.
- Providers second: Add your medical team and configure their individual schedules and breaks.
- Services third: Define what the clinic offers, assign providers, and set durations.
- Teams fourth: Create provider groupings for multi-provider services if applicable.
- Insurance fifth: Add the insurance providers and plans your clinic accepts.
- Staff last: Invite team members and assign appropriate roles.
info
Changes to clinic settings take effect immediately and affect both internal booking and the patient-facing booking portal. Always validate your changes by testing a booking path after making edits.
Governance recommendations
- Assign one owner per tab to prevent conflicting changes.
- Document major edits in internal notes so the team understands why settings were changed.
- Schedule a validation pass after structural changes (e.g., adding a new provider or service) to confirm that booking flows work correctly.
- Review settings monthly to ensure they reflect current clinic operations, especially after seasonal schedule changes or staff turnover.
