Updates

The Updates module ("Novedades") is your chronological feed of every action taken regarding your appointments. It ensures that you are always aware of new bookings, rescheduling, or cancellations without having to manually check every day on the calendar.

Timeline view

The central part of this module is a list of events sorted by time, with the most recent entries at the top. Each entry provides four key pieces of information:

FieldWhat it tells you
Action TypeWhat happened -- for example, Creado (created) for new appointments, Reagendado (rescheduled) for moved ones, or Cancelado (cancelled)
Patient NameWho the change affects, so you can quickly assess relevance
The "Who"Whether the change was made "por Sistema" (automated booking) or by a specific staff member (identified by their email)
TimestampHow long ago the change occurred (for example, "2 hours ago" or "4 days ago")
Accountability and transparency

The authorship field ("The Who") is crucial for accountability. When reviewing changes, you can immediately see whether a modification was triggered by the system, by a specific staff member, or as a result of a patient action. This eliminates guesswork and reduces the need to ask "who changed my schedule?"

Smart filtering

If you manage a high volume of patients, the filters at the top of the module help you find specific information quickly.

Filter by event type

Use the "Tipo de evento" (Event Type) dropdown to isolate specific categories:

  • New Bookings -- See only newly created appointments
  • Cancellations -- Review which patients cancelled and when
  • Reschedules -- Track appointments that were moved to different times or dates

Filter by date range

Use the "Desde/Hasta" (From/To) date selectors to search for changes that happened during a specific window of time.

Common use cases:

  • Returning from vacation: Set the date range to cover the days you were away and review everything that changed in your absence.
  • End-of-day review: Filter to today's date to see a summary of all modifications that happened during your shift.
  • Weekly audit: Set a Monday-to-Friday range to review the full picture before planning the next week.
Post-break catch-up

When you return from days off, time away, or a location switch, Updates is the first place to visit. Set the date range to cover your absence and filter by event type to quickly prioritize what needs your attention.

Using Updates for team communication

Before reaching out to staff with questions about schedule changes, check the Updates timeline first. Most schedule-related questions can be answered directly from the feed:

  • "Why was my 3pm cancelled?" -- Look for a cancellation entry with the staff member's email and the timestamp.
  • "When was this patient rescheduled?" -- Filter by reschedules and the relevant date range.
  • "Who booked this new patient?" -- Check the "Creado" entry for authorship details.

This self-service approach keeps communication efficient and reduces unnecessary back-and-forth with the administrative team.
